A question Didymos: Was the "mystery pen" (<-- nice choice of words btw) a philosopher in the full meaning of the word or just, say, a slave who also was a philosopher?

Unless you tell me the person you quoted is not a Roman, I will only be able to think of Romans. So, if it is fair to ask the question of rather or not he/she is a Roman, I do so now.
