Hi, I'm Harriette from the Netherlands working as a nurse since a lot of years. I've been to America last summer and I'm very interested in how nurses work in the States compared to what we do here in Holland. So I'd like to meet and talk to nurses and learn. Very Happy

My name is Carrie and I am an LPN in Southeast Missouri. I have been an LPN for 6 years now, and am working towards my RN degree on a part time basis. I have been thinking of travel nursing for quite sometime, but dont see it happening. Most of my work experience is in LTC and Home Health/In Home. Although I do have a bit of Psych hospital experience, it isnt a year and recent. Cant find a company that will accept anything but 1 year of recent acute hospital care experience. Sad I have been a Medicare Manager, MDS Coordinator, Asst. Director of Nursing for an In Home Agency as well as just plain old charge nurse Smile Smile Smile........sometimes experience doesnt count for much.

QUESTION FOR HEAD NURSE
Hi there,

I am a student nurse at DePaul University, I am doing a research study, on the Evaluation of barriers to adhereing to standard precautions, and for my IRB application I need an OK from the director of this site to just post a blurb about my study that includes a link to a questionairre. If this is ok to post could you just reply to this, and I could then print it out and send it to the IRB for my school??

Thanks,
Shoshana

Emergency Dept
Hi. I'm thinking about moving to the ED, but on occasion, get queasy Embarrassed on occasion..... like holding a child down while he's screaming and the md is sticking his face with a needle to numb up his gashing wound... stuff like that. I'm wondering if this has happened to others, and if it passes? I need some honest assistance to see if this is the right move. Any ED RN's out there to help me?? Confused

travel nursing
Hi! I'm sara, I'm in ga. on my first travel assignment,I really like it here. But I have renewed my contract once already, now the hosp. here wants to really drop the pay rate. I'm thinking of going to fla. I've heard good and bad about fla. Where is a good place to go? I have two new grandbabies, and don't want to move really far away from them. They are in ga. I do love travel nursing, so far.

Hello !!
Very Happy

Hello everyone, I'm Teresa. I am a F/T nurse in Rehab at a local hospital here in Tyler TX. I've considered travel nursing, but have a family and really don't know how that all would work out. Would really like to hear how you all do it and have a family too. I've been told the facilities are good and others have said they're the worst.
