I'd feel sorry for the boy too! It's gotta be a total pride killer to walk around in a mall just making balloons and passing them out...

I'm wondering if anyone here has heard of Alex Jones or infowars or Ron Paul? I've been dying to discuss some of the topics they bring up with Family Members/non family members/ people who have actually at some point READ MO Letters and other propaganda dealing with such a strange host of topics.

leocon..one thing I would like to tell you though, as much as I respect your service to the lord: I don't know if Ricky was abused, but I do know some of my kids were while they were taken to teen-camps and victor camps. I personally believe Ricky was supposed to be the "sample" for all the family kids, was put in a very restricted environment, and the one who was supposed to become the "prophet of the future" became the "prophet of death", and peter and mama are still blaming "enemies" for what happened with Ricky instad of blaming themselves. After all, if anything bad ever happened to our kids in the Family, us adults were sent into confinement to "pray about" why our kids had an accident or stole some sweets at the store. I'm sure if Mama had prayed about whay this happened to her son (just as she wanted her followers to do after our kids did something bad)....she would have probably found out that the fault was not with enemies....just as we as parents in the Family always found out! Thank God my kids never murdered anyone, so the worst thing that any Family kid ever did.....happened to Mama! Sorry for blowing your bubble..

Comparing Germany to "The Family" is a bad analogy. Germany has disavowed their tyrannical leader, Hitler- and Germans aren't even allowed to credit him or his ideology, today. They are, however, still in some of the boxes he put them in- such as the authoritarian socialism and lack of individual freedoms, like home schooling. Germany has made reparations to Jews and their families. Has "The Family" done this? I see your problem with adjusting to living outside "The Family". Many Russians, in the early 1980s, were allowed to emigrate to the USA. They liked the freedoms but were overwhelmed with the responsibilities. No one told them where they could live or gave them a job. They went back to Russia, even with it's dismal looking future.
