Philosophy has been a failure... Does it offer hope??? I think philosophers and their work has been turned to the defense of every injustice...Perhaps we should all take the oligarchic oath mentioned by Aristotle saying: I will be an enemy of the people...Or we could just realize that when ever we conceive of truth as an absolute we may be endangering human beings as infinites...People get killed in the effort to make them conform to an absolute vision of truth...
