@sometime sun,
I do wonder if wishing on a wishing star cancels anything out?

I had figured as such; just wanted to be sure. Unfortunately I have nothing to really bring forth at the moment. Maybe another time.

Just make sure when you do have something you share it with us as well.

Do you think that it is acceptable for some other to have a wish concerning you or your world?

Could you please tell me what has brought you to such a place that makes you no longer desire anything enough to wish you could have it?

I find this utterly fascinating.

When I blow out the candles or sneeze three times my wish is always the same.
It is one word.
But I cant tell you what it is because it may not then come true.Smile

Hi Sun,

If others want to wish, Sun, it is not my concern. All I can say is "A wanton spirit is never satisfied".

Everything...and Nothing...and the pieces in-between.

Thank you Sun, and shine on.

Where in me do I find the million dollars I seek? I have looked everywhere I can think of.

Perhaps you are not seeking the million dollars then.

Yes, that must be the answer. Why didn't I think of it before? Next time I look for my keys, and I cannot find them, I will conclude I wasn't looking for them. That will be convenient. Only, how will I start my car?

Shouldn't it be 'Tu hai'?
I'll be done with grammar next year, Italian 3. I would love to see your notes, signore Very Happy

I was going to make my wish for better vision, but then I realized I would probably ruin it with the reading I do. Besides, I have glasses.

Avere
Ho - Io
Hai - Tu
Ha - Lui/Lei
Abbiamo - Noi
Avete - Voi
Hanno - Loro

Good eye! It been a while since I spoke any Italian. I don't even think that the Tu is necessary since it is implied in the hai. Oh Dante Alighieri, what have you done to the modern Italian language! I have to say though, I think the one thing I am constantly fighting are the irregular verbs, espcially dovere, potere, and volere. Defintely one thing need to do (perhaps an additional wish of my own) is have a bigger vocabulary for the language. In a few months, I'm learning the basics of french, so I'm curious to see if the method I learned to pick up Italian works the same way with French (and hopefully German).

As to your wish for better vision,

With your mind, of course.

@platorepublic,
The better question would be, how dose a million fulfil the wish.
What is it about a million that could fulfil you?
You would not wish just to have a million.
For that is ultimately worthless.
What will the million entitle you?
What will the million achieve for you?
Is there an only precious thing that can only be gotten by having an available million?
That is the real wish. Not how you could get something, but what it is you are getting.
So what wish can a million get you?
And then we must ask, if it can be bought or sold then can not the whole world be able to afford it with a need for a million?
After all is said and done,
What is a million with out what it buys?
You may find what you think a million can get you needs no number.

A million is a really small sum to be worth considering, to be honest.

Maybe it would be worth discussing if it were 10 million.

I don't think you get my point,
Or perhaps you do and you are being funny?
In which case:)

Is a spirit ever hungry for anything it cannot satisfy its self with?
Surely it at the least needs another spirit to feed?

Hi Sun,

Yes, most are - until aware of the destructive innevitability of pursuing "lost causes". Give me an example, if you like? I'll process it and provide you with the pros and cons.

The latter part of your reply, is akin to the parent requiring a child, so as to teach and nurture (to mould) into a suitable student (post-representation) figure.
Personally, I don't yearn to learn or to teach anything, anymore. I am a finished person. I do enjoy interacting with others, bashing ideas about, and the like, though.

Thank you, and Shine on, Sun.
