It's time for Octoberfest and football and more hearty meals in the evening. The air is cool and crisp and the leaves crunch under footfalls, and everyone looks for the sweaters and jackets packed away last Spring.

It's finally October. About Octoberfest, a local of Munich I know said that 80% of the guests are American, and the noise drives him insane. Anyway, happy October, everyone.

I think Halloween is my favorite holiday, which is in this month in the U.S. It really allows for individual creativity and those to become their own. What did I dress up as most often you may ask? The Grim Reaper! I still like skulls to this day! For those who have participated what is your favorite costumes?

I usually go as a serial killer....

They look like everyone else (hence, I do not go in costume).

It so cold now. Booo-urns.

I went as a Roman Emperor last year; I think I'll go Napoleon this year.

I am living in a new apartment complex, I am going to see if the kids do much trick or treating. If they do I might dress up and have some scary music to hand out candy.
