yes I think people could do it but why are they bothering? Is the 'farmer and wife' going to get anything out of all this effort as distinct from just harvesting it and putting all the produce on the market? I mean what is benefit other than people like us talking about it in places like this? Photos in News of the World? Also, I have to say outright, I am extremely sceptical about alien visitors, spaceships, whatever. I agree with Carl Jung's analysis of UFO phenomena (or I think I do, although can't remember all the details.....)

Perhaps it could be a technology we are not privy to such as using a sophisticated, concentrated SDI that uses "ultrasonic" sound waves would do it. That's just as good a guess as any I think.
