Summer of 71 til Jan 77
Hi, I just came across this site and heard some familiar names and places that I was at during my tour with the COG. Here is a brief summary of some of my travels. I joined in Seattle in the summer of 71. Was a mechanic/bus driver and drove a small group to CA. Lived on a bus team around Huntington beach and later drove a bus full to NY. Lived in Troy and built the printshop there. Married to Robin and was then sent to London in 1974 by Rodent and Helah and worked as an ambassador reading colony reports and making a weekly summary for others. I worked on building the poorboy club near victoria station in London and after a year returned to NY were Jaziz and I worked to open a club in Greenwich village. Also know as the poorboy club. We all lived in an old hunting lodge on Staten Island. Then Wash. DC for a while, then back out to Seattle, then LA and finally in 76 to Brasil. I left the COG in Jan of 1977. My given names were: last, Michael Heart, and previously, Jacob Heart. I would be interested to hear from anyone that might have been there along the way or from anyone else interested.

Thank you!

Peace,

Clifford

Hi, glad you were able to find this site. From your post, I see we never crossed paths. I was in from Aug71-Mar73, but I did spend some time at the Staten Island lodge in summer 72. I have been trying to locate it. One thing I like to do is pinpoint where I was in COG on Google Earth. I have managed to find several colonies and places and wonder if you have an address or landmark for the lodge? Also the lodge in Ellenville, NY, if you were ever there. Some places are long gone, obviously, but it helps bring back some thoughts. Glad you have been out for 30+ years. You can find some more old-timers of the era here at http://www.voy.com/218750/.

Happy Trails.

I was also at that lodge. Quite a large group of us stayed there just before we flew to Malaga in Spain. We had been living in Canada and saving our pennies and finally when we had enough we traveled (with our 4 [!] small children)to New York and spent a few days at that lodge before our group was sent out. We were supposed to take a train to Paris but two of the children were *very* sick and so we stayed on in Malaga for a while and took them to see a Spanish doctor and then rented a car and drove to Paris which was viewed as high treason by the folks in charge when we finally arrived! We stayed at the chateau where the musical group Les Enfants de Dieu had their Montessori school for their youngsters. So long ago! So insane from this perspective.

Re: Summer of 71 til Jan 77
i have obviously passed the test for being a human. I was In Ellenville in the time around 72-73 , later Staten island and NYC. I have tried to contact Jeremy Spencer who was at the ellenville "colony" when i was there. I just wanted to say hello an get my 1969 black Les Paul custom back, Possibly my sitar and all the other stuff they said they needed. He has never responded, sure miss that guitar. I guess i am reading that they procurred them because they needed "provisions" so they could find some more young girls to " indoctrinate"? Amazingly my time at the COG was a time to meditate, commit about 1/2 the scripture to memory and try to find a balance between 20th century insanity and an honest spiritual existence. Meanwhile unknown to myself and possibly many others untold acts of debaucherywere occuring. I was Milo Silo. Anyone remeber? I hope all of your struggles coping with the pain of spiritual deception and abuse by the hypocrites of our time eventually lead you to the peace of knowing yourself and stabiltiy in the joy of being human.

Hey Mike - My name was Laughter. Zered trained me on Security in Ellenville - answered the phone during the day, stayed up half the night walking the trail, listening to the bible tapes on the P.A. system hanging in the trees, or sitting in one of the cars parked across the road, but it was only around August-September of 72. Ellenville was a transportation terminal then for all of us in The Great Escape. I remember only a few people there in that short time, some of whom I had known elsewhere already. We were all filtered out from there to Europe or to Puerto Rico, like me. I was one of the first to go to S. America, but lucky for me, I got purged about 6 months later and cast out into the streets of Caracas - they said they couldn't find my fight return ticket. I was unaware of the real bad stuff too - weren't that many kids around where I was - i did suspect some hanky-panky with some of the bigshots, but that didn't bother me. I never experienced the horror that I have come to realize many others did. Sorry I was even a small part of it. I remember recruiting a bicycle riding college coed who, to my knowledge, is still in today. We had her brother too for a little while. She had 9 kids by the last count, different fathers - 1st spouse has been out a while and he and I went over old times a few years back. I feel especially guilty about that one - she was squeaky clean when she joined, unlike many like me who were dope using law-breakers.

Hi, I was in LA in 1971 when a bus came down from Seattle. On the bus was a girl named valerie whos Bible name became Blossom. I am trying to find her and any help would be appreciated. I played a little guitar and sang and was an assistant to Jether. I went to cochilla ranch and was there when Fred Jordan kicked us out. Did you drive the bus to NY with the band members? I had an amazing experience while in the group and learned so much. I backslid from the colorado colony in 72 I think. I now feel that Babylon the Great is the usa and that the usa will be destroyed in one hour and then israel will be invaded. I now live in Australia.

Hey Melzar,
I knew a Blossom in Toronto Queensway Colony (maybe '73-74?). She was married and had a daughter called Morningstar who developed spinal meningitis and was permenantly disabled. It was a very long time ago. Her husband now lives in Northern Ontario. There was another fellow there called Hepher who is now living in France. Sorry I can't be of more help!

@Clifford,
Hi Clifford, I was in Brazil (and lived in Grajau and Jacaraypaqua) in Rio in 1976/1977. Am looking for Danny Alegria (Martinez), who was the drummer with Jeremy Spencer's band during that time period. Does anyone know?

Melzar,
Good that you are staying with the scriptures. They sure do come alive in this time.

I was watching the news one day after 9/11 and New York was trying to coax tourists back. Someone was doing street interviews. One woman said, "There is no city like this great city!" Wow, almost a direct scripture quote: "No city is like unto this great city." That's when it all became clear. The great whore that will be destroyed in one hour is New York City. When the Bible says "city" it literally means a city, not the whole country, though it will bring the country to its knees when this happens.

The great whore, the woman, is that great city that reigns over the kings of the earth. I believe it will be nuclear, "eat her flesh and burn her with fire" and most likely by terrorists. Perhaps a team of 10 (10 horns). "And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast." This verse states clearly that these 10 kings have no kingdom (unknown nobodies) but receive power as kings for 1 hour. Islamists hate the US, but they super-hate New York.

Coincidentally, there were 10 hijackers on 9/11.

God bless you.

Just had a flashback...felt like I was in the Family reading this last post. Sorry, but I LOVE NEW YORK. Love the arts, the energy the vibrancy of one of the greatest cities in the world. I don't buy into conspiracy theories either. Sure, some exist, but not like the thinking I learned in the family where there were frequent skits about persecution and all kinds of predicted horrors. The world has always had wars and bad things happening, but hey- I just can't diss the big apple. : )

@antiM,
I'm sorry my comments offend you. However, I'm just quoting the Bible. Revelation says that "that great city" will be destroyed. If you had to pick one "great city" on the earth, would it not be NY? In fact, that's what you just said, that it was a great city. I left the COG many many years ago, but I didn't leave God, and I still consider His Word to be the truth. The COG failed you and me, not God. Berg allowed Satan to enter his mind and work his evil. He had a choice. He chose evil.

Many terrible things are going to happen in the latter days, Satan kind of softening the target, so to speak. Sadly, one of them is going to be the total destruction of "that great city that reigneth over the kings of the earth." It's not my opinion, it's God's Word. Refusing to accept it isn't going to change anything.

Don't take my word for it, however. Ask Jesus to reveal it to you. God bless you.

Your comments didn't offend me, I just don't think like that any more and I haven't for a very long time. I personally think of conspiracy theory and need to focus on bad things to come according to some sort of revelation as real bondage. I'd rather go fishing and enjoy some sun while I can. I don't have a religion and I don't put anyone down for having belief in whatever religion they choose except when it is destructive which is what I was a part of many years ago. I see so many people that are looked up to as gurus or pastors or religious leaders who are very disturbed yet charismatic. I see their lives imploding under the fear that these leaders introduce. I don't think that NYC is Babylon or that it has to be destroyed and honestly, if Jesus started speaking to me and told me that, I would hope friends would intervene and help me get help because living in fear is no way to live.

@antiM,
This is the last I will respond to you but I want to say a few things. First, I was replying to Melzar in my original post. He had written about the subject and I was sharing with him what God had showed me. Second, I don't live in fear. I have studied bible prophecy all my life and frankly I find it enthralling. Perfect love casts out all fear and Jesus' love is the perfect love. Third, I resent your implying that I am a "crazy" because I share a different world view from you. You are apparently quite accustomed to using insults and mockery to intimidate and silence people. I've met your kind before.

@Clifford,
I was in for about six months and left in Germany in November 72. Was in King City, San Luis Obispo and took a bus to NY in the Catskills in the summer of 72. Great times but the prophecies failed and I left. Would love any contacts. Very memorial and adventurous times.

@jjulieann,
I hitched out of Phoenix where our bus broke down. The colony there put us up, and then we were encouraged to find our own way. I started out with a partner, we parted, and I managed to find other Children along the way. My name was Luke then, I was a thin brown lad with short hair. At Ellenville I worked in the refrigator sorting our food that came in from the provisioners. In Bromley, I don't remember much, except meeting a young man that I knew from high school. He was black and came from the Monterey Peninsula. Very odd meeting him there. I made soup at the Reading Pop Festival, slept a bit in the old buses and just hung out. From there I went out with an older disciple and made it to Essen. And you?

So in Seattle did you join at Washington Hall? I was there from July 71 to September, when I was personally escorted out the front door by David Hoyt and (I think) Joshua. Fun times. They used to have open houses during the fall, and we would drop by to say Hi to old friends. Got to talk briefly to Jeremy, and get a dirty look from his wife. I still am in awe of how the COG guys could block doorways. Not quite so impressed about how the ordinary people ate bread while platters of fried eggs etc. were being hustled in to the leaders for breakfast.
