First of all, I'm a friend of Jose's, although I know close to nothing about philosophy.

I would say I would be most interested in political philosophies, like the ethics of taxation, the notion of the social contract, about justice, civil liberties etc.

As a debater for a Polytechnic institution, I often come across these issues in debates, and having no proper understanding of it, often fail to analyze it more deeply, often only asserting things on a superficial level.

I guess these things would greatly help me as a debater, helping me think more critically, and helping me put forward better arguments.

But at the end of it, I also want to prepare for my eventual(hopefully) University major of political science.

So, yeah, I hope my time on this forum would be a great learning experience.
