Well, I was bored one night and googled 'philosophy forums' and joined this forum on a whim, looking for some interesting conversations I guess. I used to live for this stuff (I mean discussing philosophy) but after I quit the doctorate program I was in, I didn't think I'd ever be interested in talking about this stuff again. Pretty jaded these days if you can't tell. Anyone from Umass (Amherst)? If I know you from the graduate program, drop me a line. That was a while back ('94 to '98).

About me, hmm... I'm very openminded and usually pretty polite... well except when I'm cranky which happens from time to time. I'm not sure how much I'll participate or stay, but the forum looks like it's worth exploring. I'll stay away from those really long threads though; don't think I have the patience to read that much.
