Glad to have you on the forums! You say you are studying music: a particular instrument, composition, what? Great field; I'm a musician myself, just not nearly good enough to study on a collegiate level.

I play Guitar and Mandolin as my sort of two specialist instruments but I like to play any stringed instrument I can get my hands on.

I'm currently trying to get my head 'round a few pieces by John Mclaughlin and I just transcribed Giant Steps by John Coltrane.

How about yourself what instrument(s) do you play?

Trap set mostly, but I dabble with some other percussive instruments. Good luck with the McLaughlin: great music, but tough to wade through. I remember my first Mahavishnu record: blew me away.
