Hey everybody!:uo:

Been surfin' and have stumbled on this particular shinning beacon in the wild wild web. All I can say about my philosophical interest is that it is there, although not in a grand sense. I am more of an ancient history person myself, but a philosophical outlook is most definitely a plus. I am very impressed by some of the members of the forum, so I am looking forward to talking to a few people here. A few here seem to be professors in thier own rights and I am very eager to converse with them on all matters philosophical. I have to say that my primary draw here has to be the professional nature and no nonsense approach to philosophy. I have just hung up my hat on philosophyforums.com (with an s) because there was just too much nonsense going on. Speaking of that, why is it that most people think philsophy has to be poetic or "spoken thus from the sage?" I dont know either, but I hope to get some good discussments in!

@Delinquo,
Many of the classical historians were as much philosophers as historians and they usually wrote much better than most philosophers, and many philosophers were also historians.
I look forward to many conversations with you; welcome to the Philforum.
Regards,
John
