I'm nobody! Who are you?
Are you nobody, too?
Then there's a pair of us--don't tell!
They'd banish us, you know.

@finlandssvensk,
Hi Christa
I lived in Norway for 3 years in Rade close to Moss. Worked in Rigge flystasjon with the F-16, later worked for Norsk Data in Oslo as a Software/Hardware engineer. I Visited Varmland (big lake) often, never made it to Finland unfortunately. Minnesota is a place I wanted to visit as there are many Scandinavian people there.

I was Norwegian in another lifetime:eek: and quickly adjusted to life there and of course cross country skiing! I got pretty good at singing the Hansa ol songs and eating reke from the fishing boats at the Oslo Port.Very Happy

Oddly enough my Spanish helped me to learn norwegian faster as nynorsk is closer to Latin than english and norsk is pronounced like spanish.

I also lived and worked in Rome as the Norsk Data Manager for all of Italy. Italian was much simpler to learn as it is about 85% the same as Spanish.

I love Scandinavia and its people, may God bless them all!Smile

The one time I've been to Norway we took the ferry in Moss... my dad's grandparents all came from Norway so I got the blond hair/blue eyes bit.
