Salutations. After treading through a few posts here, I thought this might be a nice place to stay.
I have specific interest in philosophy of language, politics and the mind but am open to discuss any and all areas of philosophy.
I have been educating myself on many subjects but have no person to discuss, argue or even question. I would prefer "live" conversation but seeing that I am alone, an online forum will have to suffice.
Thank you all for joining me into this forum.
I welcome all questions, arguments and discussions through private or public message, as I am open to any ideas, theories and topics.
zombus.

@zombus,
Welcome to the forums, Zombie. I too, prefer live chat, and we have one on here, but few use it.. Enjoy yourself here, philosophy of mind is one of my favorites too.

@zombus,
I find that communicating philosophical positions is best done through the written word, because these positions require a complexity in explanation that is hard to accomplish orally and especially in chat. On the other hand, oral/chat reflects the immediacy and openness of the give and take of dialogue and its tendency to explore related (sometimes UN related) subjects that suggest themselves.

One of the great changes that the Internet has created in everyday life is the ability to find and communicate with Others sharing specific interests, unlimited by the restriction of both space and time.

Welcome to a place for such people, and I know you will both enjoy and benefit from the Philforum.
Regards,
John

Opening minds is what fora such as this are eminently suited for.
