EVERYBODY here has the same posting style: too many syllables, too many words, too much obscurity, and too many poster-created words!
...
Well damn. That's *my* posting style. How *ever* will I make myself stand out?!
Ah well, I suppose I will just have to figure out how to deal with being just another face...erm...avatar in the crowd. Le sigh.
Anyway, that said (and still being internally processed - it's not often I find a gob of people who write like I do...But with fewer ellipses. And hyphens. And colons. And parentheses :p ), I'm not really any different from most of you in most ways, which is why I'm here on this forum.
I googled "philosophy forum", chose five sites and discarded each for one reason or another until one was left. (sort of like it looks like Sarathustra may have done). I like the atmosphere I've gathered from here, and I read an old (waaaaaay old) intro thread posted by a fellow(?) who went by T-T-T (maybe another T...given his presented ego, I was a little surprised the Ts stopped at all...) and was massively impressed by how the situation was handled. It's difficult to find a forum like what this one appears to be
Annnnnd I guess I should actually give something like an introduction, right? All I can really say that's of any import is that I'm a "student of philosophy" and not afraid to argue a point. ANY point. At all. To death. With way too many qualifiers. Though not in an offensive manner...I hope: I do tend to be pretty blunt :S
PS: Yes, I've read the forum rules, and noted the no swearing and no pornography, but I had already created my avatar specifically for this forum (actually, it was a gif, and it was painstaking to get the thing down to 19.5kb and 80x80...just to find out from the upload screen that I couldn't use an animation) and so I've decided to use this first post to see if either "damn" or my corseted female examining a line on a wall are inappropriate . You know, knock out my first warning with two offenses, rather than making both mistakes separately later, for separate warnings (how embarrassing!). Not that I often say "damn" OR have corseted women as avatars...
PSS: Oh gosh...I'm really inadvertently making myself out to look like a troublemaker...I promise I"m not! Gah! It just seems a logical thing to do! O.O
PPSS: Good grief I'm verbose. *rolls eyes at self*
