Has anyone experienced what I may call a philosophical conversion? Yeah, lame, but I couldn't resist. I, for example, got into philosophy by reading the (less technical) works of Bertrand Russell, J. S. Mill, G. E. Moore, Wittgenstein, Quine...mostly those falling into the empiricist/positivist/analytic camp. Recently I grew tired of reading the faultfinding tendencies of these guys and turned to what we call existentialism. I fell in love with Albert Camus immediately, and am now on a quest to collect his works.
Ahem, anyway, my question is simply has anyone done this as well? Has it redefined philosophy for you?
I am not suggesting one is better or more productive than another, I am just wondering if anyone has tried to be more eclectic or curious.
