For me, I identify Equivocation Fallacies as having been the most prevalent in blocking my understanding. I think that very often when they have been presented to me, I did not realize what had happened, didn't see any possible fault. On the other hand (or perhaps the same hand ), I can identify some that I have offered to myself.

Care to name some kind of fallacy that you feel has affected you, or that you think has important effects on others ?

Perhaps I'm simply the uneducated one, but I don't think every reader will know the fallacies by name. So correct me if this is all common knowledge, but perhaps we should add what the fallacy is before going on.

I don't think you can find anyone that hasn't had problems with Non Sequitor (does not follow; your logic sucks). I'm just using a loophole, as this isn't exactly a specific fallacy...
