(Metaphysics just for the sake of the metaphysical)
(Asked before i am sure)

Are we more real by recognising we are ourselves are alone?
or
Are we more real by recognising we are ourselves are not alone?

Recognised or recognition, which is more if at all more real?

Can the self or ego only be realised through viewer participation/recognition?
(can the self alone create itself?)

Is it self actualisation or is a group effort?
Can the self actualise all on its own?

@sometime sun,
They both happen together so it's not possible to divide and analyse. It's probably like when you put 2 mirrors together and you get infinity.

An ego can be constructed completely internally, but sociologically speaking, a very large portion of any ego is based upon imagining how we are perceived by others. I would imagine that just like an animal raised in a zoo, an ego can develop but without being fostered by an imagined opinion of others it could hardly live realistically in the wild.

We are neither less nor more 'real' by how much we recognize alone-ness. Further, while 'realness' could be said to be influenced by how we see the self in others, this isn't an all-or-nothing potential. Recognizing the self, influenced and enhanced by seeing our reflection in others (their responses, reactions, actions towards, etc.) isn't requisite to the self being recognized by the mind alone. Same thing with self-actualization; such may be a solitary event or one experienced with others.

Neither are more 'real'
