Hello,
I am Professor Frost. I have been looking for an online community for some time now, and after checking out this site a little bit, it seems as if I've found myself a home. But before entering the discussions I might as well tell you a something about myself: Let's see? I used to consider myself a "good Christian" (i.e. there was a seat marked "Reserved for 'Frost' " in Heaven and everything was just groovy on Earth) but, due to the fact that whatever "faith" I had was based more on emotion than on any abiding commitment to the service of God and others, I got a little lost somewhere along the way. But I didn't want to stay lost. I thought for some reason I could read myself out of a hole so that's what I set out to do. I read unsystematically in religion for a couple of years before I decided to make myself a couple of booklists as jumping-off points for the religions/philosophies that I was (and am still) interested in. I know that the ultimate answer to my questions about life probably won't be found in books but perhaps books can point the way. Anyhow I'm about to dive into that book-pile so? Adios
@Professer Frost,
Well a warm welcome to you Professer Frost! Thanks for introducing yourself here and we're happy you are considering making this site a home. I think you'll enjoy the discussions and we're all learning... especially social philosophy.
Feel free to ask questions, post threads and start discussions on topics you may be interested in. You'll find this to be a rather non-spammy and overall peaceful community. Enjoy!
@Professer Frost,
Welcome to the forums. Good luck with your studies. I hope you find the site suits you.
@Professer Frost,
Welcome to the site, Prof!
Hopefully we'll find ourselves involved in some good debates at some point.
