In the relationship between soul and body like that between the harmony of a lyre and the lyre itself

@Jessica phil,
What is a musical instument without music? It is just lifeless materal. When it sings the instrument vibrates and resonates with tone and has voice, then it is animated, alive.

So too the body vibrates and resonates with life until the soul departs leaving lifless material.

Soul is to the body, what vibration is to the lyre; life.

Jessica, I hope my idea is helpfull. Is that what you think it means also?

@Jessica phil,
I read it as the music is the soul, and the Lyre is the body.

Without the soul there can be no body as without the Lyre, there can be no music.

And welcome to our little place in the world...Very Happy

@Jessica phil,
If the lyre is producing harmony, where is the melody?

@Jessica phil,
The guitar and music are to mind and body as the wind is to the weather both are important parts because neither exists without the other. the mind, the way i understand it, is and integral part of the body and the body is essential to the mind. they are separate but equal, and work together to bring about the progress of man.
