Who wants to be just good enough, you can always be better.
You said something in another thread you used to work for a newspaper,
so you must know something about publishing, please focus on the strengths you have and not the real or imagined weaknesses of others.
You have more to offer.
And i am asking for your professional assistance on publishing. Please.
Have you ever been published?
Would you like to be?
Do i need a portfoilo?
How do i construct one?
Got any contacts?

, for which purpose do you want to publish/write?
To become immortal of course.
But on a more practical level i want a job i love doing, i wants to gets the money.
Imagine that, being paid to imagine.
When i am at task or have a job i am engrossed.
Writting and dreaming is my pleasure.
But i need to make it my profession.
I am a compotent writter and artist but want to specialise in the written word.
I know i have to go back to school but the idea side of it i need to focus on more because some of my stories and ideas and dreams and plots and twists i forget to get down and out before they are lost and forgotten.
I'm going to be editted, why not make a buck for just the conception. Let them do all th ework when i know they are just going to bastardise my finished product.
Nothing is ever lost?
What i would really like is to find a network or publisher who pays for ideas, i know they exist but dont know where to start.
But then i would also like to have input in my own creations, so need to be able to write what they are looking for, i think they are called treatments, i would like to know how to do these and what and where to start sending them to.
How to send them even.

it is a very difficult choice between publishing and self publishing. oft times self published materials are seen as "below average works" because "the author couldn't get a publisher". However getting a publisher is tricky. My advice would be to research niche publishers. Some of them do not require things to be submitted by an agent, whereas the large publishers often will not accept things that are not submitted through one of their trusted agents. Samll or niche publishers often serve as their own agencies and are more likely to publish something that is written with talent but not written for a mass market or from someone who has not established a name in the mass market. If all you want to do is get it out there audience be damned, so to speak, self publication is a gem.
read something like this, very practical
The Writers' Guide to Getting Published: Amazon.co.uk: Chriss McCallum: Books
No i need more than self publication.
BUt still would rather just get it out there than it be nowhere.
Thanks for your recomendation.
Have you been published anywhere?
Do you wish to be published?
Are you trying to?
