How do you communicate with your friends? Do you do it on a daily basis?

I used to use facebook. I used to quit it. But inevitably go back to using it. Right now I quit it for good.

I used to not use the phone. Then I use it a lot. Now I seldom use it too.

I used to use MSN a lot. Then not for a long time. Then a lot recently. Now I quit for good.

Now I generally just email my friends and meet them to talk. And that's it.

You?

@Pepijn Sweep,
When we lose one form of communication we tend to invent new ways of doing otherwise.

When you are used to this or get bored with it you will either go back to an old unused form or you will invent new forms.

You are right to call this a basic intinct because the sole on the shoe of humanity is its ability to communicate.

All we want to know how to do is communicate our minds and souls to others.
It is what we are built to do and for.
Only through others eyes do we feel real.
Which is why the new forms quickly become invaluable and 'over used', we love to communicate.
It is the only way of proving ourselves.

I come here because i am so useless at communication in the sun and moon lit world, i cant do it well any where else but here and places like this, and it is still in doubt as to whether i do it proficiently even here.
Just got sick of talking to myself.
I am at my bravest when writting.
Communication takes confidence and control.
In the written word i can speak.
we all need to express,
we all need to voice
we all need to listen.

But as with you once you start communicating you find it solidifys and proves you positive, so once you come to think you have conquered a form of yourself or been conquered we need to find new different and better and more expressive ways of doing it.
WE need to grow.
This includes the people we know and love.
If we think they have solved us or we them people tend to need to move on to new and different people.
Which is why those who are actually good at a form of it and find they are rewarded for it make it their art.
You can make someone your art also.

Art has alot to do with reward but more to do with cost.

Once we think we have proven ourselves we often need to find a new way of doing so.
The next challenge.
The next form of you.
The next form of them.

What do you think communication is for?

I just realised something - you always like to say "all we..."

No not all we... it's just you!

Stop generalizing things! It's becoming a pattern of your posts!

I could care less if I communicate my MIND OR SOUL to others or not. Jeez.

But...It is not just him. Generalization is natural, but not correct. Generalization can put friends in fiercy discussions defending believes they do not comprehend.

How would you descibe your Soul (before U spill it on the Forum) ?Laughing

Sometimes generalizations can be a political nicety
I often use the term we, to include myself in a statement relating to human nature or such, because it is less offensive.
I also sometimes use the term we in statements in order to include others because I don't want to sound like an oracle or something.
No one has to join the group "we" against their wishes.

I sometimes use "we" too, but it's just that when it is used too often and in the wrong places, it annoys me.

Anyway back to the topic.

Any more communication media out there?

@platorepublic,
It's been around 2 weeks since I communicated with any of my friends! It's an experiment that I am trying, lol. (Plus, I have the excuse and busyness of my exams.)
