Are you weaker without it in your life?
The act of philosophizing does not fulfill me. I try at metaphors, and I spend the remainder of the day seeing how obscure and patently false they are. And I don't take the time to point this out to later, but hope that I might have a better one in the future.
Without that which I have read by philosophers, yeah, I'd be a bumbling heathen. I try not to be these days, but the persistence of my bad philosophizing is always a cue that my life is still not free of those things that ruin a good mind (vanity, sin, hypocrisy).

I have said so much these past years that I mostly feel like starting from scratch. I never opposed the views of my friends so that they might adopt my own. Monday, on my birthday, one told me Descartes was a hack (something I've said repeatably). The conversation did not really interest me, although he said a few points I had not heard before.
I am trying, with difficulty, to follow the new conception of philosophy that Wittgenstein laid out over the course of many books and lectures. I am mostly left with silence these days in that regard.
To my girlfriend I speak to of all my torments, and she often has a word or two for advice. But with my friends, silence fills the room. In a certain sense, I am mostly silent on these forums as well...

If so are you not more available to life by being ready and able to see it for what it is or not?
Can not the antisipation that unknowing make you more or less afraid of inevitables or inconsequentials or the unknowable.
Are you more less afraid of the dark by knowing light will come go or can you accpet the dark more by coming to love the lightless?
I was speaking more of fond memories in that paragraph. I might be in some sort of transitional period in regards to light/dark metaphors. Tautology/Contradiction do me well.
When I first started really posting on these boards, I started with the Chicken/ Egg question. Trying to be like W, I said that there is no 'resolution' to this 'problem'- and therein lies everything. And so it seems that no matter what questions science ponders or even answers, the most important ones always slip past it. And therein lies the 'resolution' to this 'problem'.

A distraction, these days; but in defense of others, a preparation.

I have liked your posts and try to read them when they catch my eye. These posts were a bit difficult to read, however, in some spots.
But what of your thoughts on the matter?
