@Quinn phil,
I started to listen but came very quickly to the conclusion I have not got two hours to listen to something that could have been said a damned site quicker, sorry...

I disagreed with the notion we only have now. Now is not with us long enough to appreciate it has meaning. We have memory of past nows that lead us into expectations.We cant form our life on the present now, as it has no meaning. Look at a certain photo and tell me what does it tell you? if you have no idea who it is or where it is, it is meaningless.

If we could live in the now and have no recollection of the passing of time we would not be mortal. Only ethereal beings live in the now.

@Quinn phil,
How far did you get? Did you see how all of the religions are based upon the same thing, (The 12 constellations and the sun)? That was the part that interested me.

Sorry I did not get that far, his voice did not inspire me to listen far. The ancients did value the night sky, they had no light pollution to mar their view.

@Quinn phil,
Well, the voice is the boring part. There turns out to be some interesting visuals, if that's what your attention requires. It's entertaining as well as shocking. It leads me to believe that religion either is one big story that's told in many different ways, or that everybody's right about it, just telling it in a different style. Idk, you'd have to watch it.

@Quinn phil,
Lol. That was good, it had some kind of message! Plus, the special effects were cool. Alright, hope to see your feedback when you watch it.

@xris,
Zeitgeist is taken by historians -religous or not- to be highly inaccurate and based on dubious inferences. I am not a historian myself so a thorough reply will be far from here, but that isnt to say I havent personally come across arguments against what the film represents.

I think the word you chose of 'conspiracy' works pretty well...

@Reconstructo,
Hell that was hard work..So much truth is included, it makes you start believing the whole story. Its the little bits of the story you have examined in the past that makes you realise there is an attempt at manipulation. A good bit of propaganda but what is the purpose of it and who lies behind this movie?

@Quinn phil,
That's the thing, though. We can't really rely on many historical sources. I know this sounds insecure, but I really don't know what I can believe anymore. Some people have proof of what happens, but a lot of it is from stories and writings that have been passed down. A lot of it's made up, too, I think. But the thing about each of those biblical figures having those similar traits. "Born on december 25th. Dead for 3 days, reincarnated" or whatever. That lets you know that it's all one story that's just been told in different ways. Hence, different religions. Now, the only question for me is, "Is the story true or false?"

I dont doubt the story of Christ has been manipulated into a pagan belief system. That part of the movie is almost correct but its truth is used to give credence to the other sections of the movie.

Yes, what xris says here.

In many of these conspiracy theories, there are truths involved. That's what makes them so good! You take a true event, or something which is historically backed, and you spin it into whatever form you wish; you inject the intent and meaning to suite your conclusion.

The art is in making you believe that X implies Y, when X does not necessarily imply Y.

@Zetherin,
For example the two sas troopers where not sas but recon soldiers. They did not fire on civilians but where caught observing local police activity. The pictures of john Lennon at the end tried to give the impression it was a government conspiracy that assassinated him. My interest lies in who actually is trying to undermine western politics? are we actually seeing political propagandist at work for terrorists? or have I caught the conspiracy bug?
