I definitely wouldn't say all of his books are brilliant (i struggled to understand what he was going on about with the Foundation series, for instance) but he certainly wrote some excellent material (I very much enjoyed many of his short stories, and the R. Daneel Olivaw/Lije Bailey mystery books).

I, on the other hand, am not sure we should take the opinion seriously of someone so intolerant he is willing to damn anyone who read and enjoyed the work of a particular writer, just because they did so
