As for the tricky question, I dont think your correct answers are valid. At least, if we have some kind of order and assume you are not allowed to lie, wich I think its an obvious assumption that should be made because if you can lie about something you can be lying about everthing, making finding a solution impossible.

*The text doesnt implies you have to drop the rocks, it creates an hyphotesis, "if I drop", and the answer it requires is inside the "universe" of this hyphotesis.

*Inside the hyphotesis you are doing the act of dropping the rocks, therefore it implies that you are holding then in some way. you cannot "drop" winhout holding in some way, therefore you must be.

*Something I didnt realize before: "If I drop then both at exactly the same time"... this kills the question already, if you dropped then both at exactly the same time, neither drops first.
