Hello,

I am a computer engineering college student very interested in expanding how I think about the world. Recently, I have become very depressed with the world and the way we human beings treat each other. Alot of different schools of thought actually anger me. Ex. the "Nothing maters unless I say it matters so whatever because I dont care about anything! Nothing we say or do counts so whatever!!" I believe this to be because I have spoken to people who hold these views without fully understanding them. So, I've set out to fully understand them in an attempt to try and understand other people.

I am also very interested in learning about Buddhism and I see you already have a section on that!

Thanks!

@diego898,
Some so-called schools of "thought" are merely unsophisticated opinions without any authentic thinking behind them. Philosophy provides the individual the differing perspectives and critical facilities to judge opinions, and to form better ones of your own.

@diego898,
Welcome... The way people treat each other is sort of depressing most of the time...Fortunately, I have a way to understand that treatment, and see my way through to something better, and it is simple, almost simplistic, yet I would prefer to think of it as basic...
