Hello my name is Matt, and just wanted to welcome myself. I became interested in Philosophy a few years ago when I took my first philosophy class and now have recently become interested in logic.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Logic is pretty important when it comes to philosophy.

Welcome, Matt, to Philforum. A knowledge of logic is extremely important as a means of understanding argumentation of positions, and for clarifying thinking. There are several Members who share your interest in the subject, so I think you will feel very comfortable here.
