Pythagorean is absolutely correct. Philosophy, in the sense of making an attempt to clarify and articulate one's thinking, of seeking different perspectives with a open mind, and engaging in authentic discussion or debate with Others, is open to any person whether they wish to call themselves (or be called by others) philosophers or not.
