Hello humans!

Please allow me to introduce myself...

I'm a minor demon from second cercle of Hell (which is managed, in fact, like a big corporation). I've worked for some centuries in infernal bureaucracy, but now Corporate has sent to earth as a tempter. I am quite excited about this new job.

Unfortunately, I know nothing about humans, or about the physical world for that matter. I've registered to this site because I thought it would help me to understand the conditio humana, as well as all those strange concepts like reality, ethics, beauty, free will, love etc. Don't be surprised if I sometimes ask questions which may seem stupid for a human mind - I've never been a human. Also, I am not yet familiar with human customs - I just figured out what "thank" means (it seems to be kind of a favour voucher), and I'm stll not sure about the concept of "excuse".

Oh, and I also have a blog.

[Off-character note: No, I'm not on drugs. It's just a little roleplay I'm doing on my blog and elsewhere, an "outsider's view" on our world and the human condition.]

P.S.: Apparently I'm not allowed to have a signature. Is this feature reserved to humans?

Now that you have arrived, what do you think of your new assignment so far? A piece of cake or far more complex?

Welcome to the forums Zogg. Hopefully this forum displays a more humane atmosphere than the second circle of hell, lol.

It's far more complex than I thought. Before coming here, I thought humans would simply be some kind of hybrid creatures between animals and spirits. But it's far more complicated than that: Inside your head you have both this strange tentaculous subconsciousness thingy and this annoying niggler (which correspond more or less to what you people call "it" and "super-ego"). The "thingy" seems to follow some cavemen-logic, the "niggler" applies a logic I don't fully understand yet... I think I've got a lot to learn before I can try to tempt my first human.

But right now I've other concerns: I've a summons to 6th Circle, the siege of the Political Office - which means I'm in some serious trouble with Infernal Inquisition. Wish me luck...

Zogg, you will learn much from your more experienced tempters here on Earth, but I'm sure that you can teach them a few things too. Us humans die so young (often under a century), that we tend to live in greater ignorance than an oldster such as you (as young as you may be) can not even remember so childish a mind.

I will tell you this much about mankind that even I have learned. Expect folly such as may bring tears of pity to the sternest observer.

What are you doing in the land of the heretics? They are doing well enough on their own. You want a real challenge go to those in 9 and you will get the entire lot. It will be much faster that way, huh? Are you up to the task?:devilish:

I suggest you do not try to understand the point of gasified water, for it seens to have none. Unless someone thinks its cool to have water you cant drink.

Oh, and Unwelcomed you are. I heard demons prefer to be adressed negatively, I hope it is true.

Answer: You can have a signature after a set number of posts, If I remember well.
