Hello everyone,

I'm Gaz, 24 from the UK. I'm studying to become a psychotherapist, but I often find it involves Philosophy and such like. Jung is my favourite 'person' right now.

I just have a few questions really, so that's why I've joined this forum.

@gaz7224,
Welcome to the Philforum. Interestingly enough, there is a practicing group of "existential psychoanalysis" among whom Binswanger seems to be the most well-known. The link between modern philosophy, especially since Kierkegaard and Nietzsche, and psychology has become more pronounced; and, as new biological discoveries (e.g. genetic) contribute to the philosophy of mind, that link becomes stronger.
Regards,
John

@Leonard,
Psychotherapy would be very demanding emotionally. That may be why some of us have retreated into ourselves and abstracted into philosophy. Avoidance?

Anyway
Cheers and Welcome,
