20 minutes to go
I have a question regarding a Family video put out a while back it was called 20 minutes to go.

I had heard that it had a song called "Fire and Ice" in it.

But the version I own seem to have that song ommited Confused

Does anyone know why? or the story behind that?

and someone should upload the video to this site as it is quite interesting Laughing

anyway just wondering.

Ahh yes. If my memory serves me correctly "Fire and Ice" was removed because it was "too sexy" for the target teen-aged audience (for the record, I do not believe there were minors involved in this specific production). There was also a "Green Door" segment which was either cut or otherwise censored for being "too scary".

Thinking back at the production value of this video I can't help but laugh remembering the poor chroma-keying and lighting but I'll never forget the walkie-talkies the Anti-Christ's men carried which were shampoo bottles spray painted black with pencils attached for the antenna.

Hmm... Interesting.

Did Rick Dupuy produce it?

I really wouldn't know the answer to that as I was pretty young when that video came out (I'd guess 11 or 12). I'm pretty sure I remember seeing Arthur Lindfield in the scene with the shampoo bottle radios which I mentioned above and I'm under the impression Roberto Fernandez (Solomon Touchstone) was involved in the production.

He was there for the filming and editing of the video.

Arthur was part of the AC force chasing Cathy in 'Cathy don't go to the supermarket.'

Solomon was there for the entire scripting, filming, choreography, production, etc. He was the one dancing with Joy behind the sheet in the Fire and Ice video, though TJ was the actual 'face' in most of the shots.

Kids weren't used in most of the main parts of the video, but Joy was a minor when they did Fire and Ice, as in, under the age of 18. I think only myself, maybe Gabe, and TJ were not minors, the rest were around 13-17. If Angie was there, then she wasn't a minor either.

Wasn't Fire and Ice originally a song about FFing or the love of God?

Discern for yourself. (hint: yes.)

(Dm)-(Gm)-(A)-(Dm) [Repeat]

(Dm)Out of the night you approached me,
Your (Gm)eyes flashing freedom and (Dm)love,
Ig(Gm)niting within me a (Dm)new life worth living,
And (A)love that I'd only dreamed (Dm)of.

(Dm)I was the captive of shadows,
And (Gm)dreams I was taught to pur(Dm)sue.
You (Gm)melted my chains with the (Dm)heat of God's Love,

Chorus:
Fire and (Gm)Ice collided that (Dm)night,
My cold darkened (A)heart met the heat of your (Dm)light.
Fire and (Gm)Ice became one that (Dm)night,
With your flame of (A)love, my heart did u(Dm)nite!

(Dm)Aa-aa-aa-aa (Gm)ooo(A)ooo

That would be Solomon Costa Rican. Solomon Touchstone was the drummer.

If I remember correctly, Joy was 14 or 15 when she "acted" in it. Also, if I'm not mistaken, there was one particular scene in which the wind was supposed to blow her dress up just enough to hint at the fact that she was nude underneath (which she was). The scene was shot numerous times, with her dress blowing to various inappropriate heights, before it came out the way the producers wanted it.

Romour has it that Joy (a minor) and Solomon filmed a version that was too sexy (read: nude) and they didn't use it. This is what I heard from the set guys etc. Though, I wasn't there myself.

Another thing worth mentioning is that in the Kidi Vidies have lots of the children had to undress before getting "wrapped" in angle robes and clothes, otherwise their underwear would show through. I remember almost every girl that told me about this said they did not like being naked together in front of a bunch of people.

I mean, of course there will be many children who do not like being naked in public and handled by adults and made to dance around in "see-through" garments.

Another thing I find is that many of the people who stand up and say they were not abused, simply enjoyed being molested and have a very sexual nature themselves. These young people often live lives with a major focus on sex. Since they are taught that nothing is wrong with sex of any kind, they have no guilt and do not think they were abused - much less abusers themselves.

TF indoctrinated people into believing that none of this was sexual abuse.

This is why they say that any abuse was a minority.

I sometimes find myself falling for the old "if it is done in love blah blah blah" thing.

Does it happen to anybody else?

Maria.

That whole line, "If it's done in love", is a load of turd. First of all what is love without inteligence? What is love without knowledge? Love as defined by the world today seems to be more on the romantic side. Love as the Bible defines it is highly inteligent by nature. Love others as you love yourself.

I will give an extreme example:
There are mothers who have killed all their children before committing suicide themselves. These mothers many times think the are taking their children and themselves out of their misery.

As you can see, they think they are being loving to their children and doing what's best for them. The problem is that they are too ignorant to know what is best for their children. TF has done this time and time again and will continue to do so. If we are not living balanced lives, how in the world can we even begin to know what is good for us or others?

Love often means saying, "NO!"

Love often means having to denounce others.

Love often means having to use physical force to defend one's self and family!

Love NEVER means doing what Berg and Zerby taught.
