I had the same thing happen to me. This link worked for me:

http://ninemsn.video.msn.com/v/en-au/v.htm?f=39&g=16f472da-8735-42a8-b7a3-91d85c9835c5&p=aunews_au60minutes&t=s29

(You have to wait through 1 commercial before it plays the segment)

Worked for me. A co-worker walked in an thought I was watching pornography. Some of the footage reminded me of the Jumbo in the Philippines. It made me sick to my stomache and made me feel really depressed. People don't believe me when I say I clearly remember being present at orgies in 1987.

Is anyone else having trouble viewing the entire show ("60_Minutes_Australia-Sinful_Acts.wmv")? That is, I am able to watch the first 7 or 8 minutes, but then it gets stuck and won't play the remainder of the show. I have downloaded the wmv twice and this happened both times.

Thanks!

PS: Just like Abraham was describing.

I had the same problem. It gets stuck at 7:56. I was able to watch the entire show using http://ninemsn.video.msn.com/v/en-au/v.htm?f=39&g=16f472da-8735-42a8-b7a3-91d85c9835c5&p=aunews_au60minutes&t=s29

Yeah. That is what I just did.

It is too bad that we can't have a fully functioning version on our site. I am sure with plays just fine on Windows Media Player, but some of us use Linux or Mac. 8)

Odd thing. I watched it all the way through on my Mac and my PC. Maybe a codec thing?

I considered that. However, I do have pretty much all the latest codecs and tried various media players. Not sure. Oh, well.

This show is more than a "storm in a teacup"...
This show is so incriminating to the Family International. I hope many people watched it. The Family International LIES... lies in court, to the press, to the media... they teach their members to LIE... it becomes an art after awhile.

That so-called "leader" in Australia, Paul, said that Berg was wrong... but the interviewer made him say that... Paul knows VERY WELL... Maria said "We can't recant... because God CAN'T"... Bergs teachings are still the very FOUNDATION of The Family International. Bergs teachings were supposedly from God, so therefore cannot be taken back. It would prove that the Family's so-called god is WRONG and very off-track.

Maria only wanted WS to tone-down the GN's artwork to make it look permissable to society... but she said that they would NEVER tonedown the message... sex is the standard of being revolutionary... the more strange and perverted, the better... the closer you are to their so-called jesus.

We all had to adamently deny all of those sex abuse charges during the so-called "persecution" in 1992. We were all brainwashed to believe that we were getting persecuted for righteousness sake... but we were getting hounded by the law... for living the perverted dreams of David Berg.

It sickens me to watch those children dancing. We were so blinded that we couldn't see what we were doing. I am so ashamed.

Thank goodness for the Internet... people who meet this ****ed-up group can find out about them before getting involved or worse yet... joining fultime.

Here's an interesting piece of that interview that was posted on MovingOn by Eva St.John:

Eva wrote:
What I found really interesting was that the NZ 60 Minutes reporter told me after interviewing Paul Hartingdon [...] she asked him a certain question I asked her to ask him. (It ultimately was not included in the final cut for reasons I'll explain further down). The question went basically something like, "So here we have evidence that David Berg not only prophesied that Jesus was going to return in 1993, as well as uttering umpteen other prophecies that have failed to be fulfilled, you also are aware that he taught child sex practices as doctrine and was a drunk and a peadophile himself. Now you are saying he was wrong in those teachings. So how can you, as a sane 'Christian' adult and father of many children still stand by this man and represent him to the public and defend him as a great prophet? What is the logic in this?"

Well apparently Paul Hard-On went blank and speechless for the space of about 45 seconds and then eventually asked for the camera to be turned off - and never could answer the question! The reporter said they just couldn't include this bit in the final cut because it was just too long a gap of 'nothing happening' and they wanted to cram as much real info into the report as possible.

If this is, in fact, what happened, I would be interested in seeing if we could get that footage online. I'd be willing to pay money to see that.

Yeah. It works fine in Windows using Media Player 10. It doesn't, however, work with the latest version of WinAmp (with all of the codecs installed). It would be great to have it work universally.

I have problems with a lot of videos playing in Winamp and I have a most used codecs and some very rare ones that came with my bundles video editing softwares. I can try to convert it to MOV format if anyone wants.

If you can convert it to quicktime MOV (or AVI divx if possible), that would be great. I read some instructions instructions for converting WMV to DivX AVI but it seemed a bit complicated and requires some software I don't have. Surely there is an easier way.

I was also thinking perhaps we should have a video/multimedia help page linked to from the video archives category. It would have basic instructions for playing video or sound files, a list of reccomended software for a variety of platforms with download links, etc.

The easiest way to convert WMV to anything is to use TMPGEnc to convert to MPG and then you can open MPG in just about any video editing software and export accordingly.

My computer at work is rebooting every 30 minutes (I hate PCs) so I wasn't able to use the legacy version of TMPGEnc which does a perfect conversion. Newer versions of the software sacrifice quality for speed. I was about to make an MPG on this dumb lump of a PC that's 162MBs with great sound quality but a slightly skewed aspect ratio and the last 3 seconds of the clip cut.

If any of you with your sexy working PCs can get around to it you can get the older version of TMPGEnc here: http://www.dtheatre.com/pow/tmpg/ Install tmpg_jp0725.zip first. If you read Japanese you are set, else install the patch: tmpg_en0725.zip.

If not, I've got the MPG up on my web server so I can access it over the weekend. I'll try to take it to my Mac and make love to it with Final Cut Pro and fix the aspect ratio tomorrow. Assuming I live through my bike race and planned after-partying tonight. Booyakasha!
