Last I heard they were in Texas -- but the ex-family member who was in contact with them and told me about it was not really sure whether they had left or not. I doubt that they have, judging by their trajectory.

My opinion - they have not left. They were spirited over to Texas from Calif. under Stephen David and Mother Eve's care so as to put them out to pasture and under the watch of Ado (a big time F. leader) who was also sent there. They have quite a little gathering now. I believe an article was even done on that charming little home by some independent Texas newspaper and I think it's on this site. I have no sympathy for any of those people.

I can appreciate that ex-members don't want to get involved. i know a couple in London who refuse to discuss CoG/TF.

I am not expecting all ex-members to denounce TF actively.

I remember Elixia's comment that Ricky was getting on with his life until he felt pressured into speaking out for SGA's. Such a thing needs resilience and fortitude.

Alf and Sara are not under Stephen and Eve. Stephen and Eve were ex-communicated from the family and are no longer members.

Stephen thinks the family ideas that Alf & Sara ascribe to are a bunch of hog wash. He has fond memories of his friends and enjoys visiting with them but he thinks the family teachings are against the Word of God and are completely wrong. He has said personally that we should not feed on the teachings of men but just stick to the Bible.

Maybe Eve would be more easy on them and these ideas but she is not really fully coherent any more. You are talking about someone who can not even get her names straight half the time.

They may have contact with a number of people who were or are in the family but that does not make them members. Do you think Jesus ministered to only Pharisees or did he also care for prostitutes, tax collectors, and winos? Sure we are talking about even worse evildoers, but there is certainly a balance between being resentful towards these people and trying to reach out to them and be of any kind of help possible. If Jesus rescued us, why can't he use us to rescue others?

Well, Jesus rescued people and he also got mad at the money changers, there is such a thing as righteous anger. Don't forget verses such as "if you offend one of these littles ones, you'd be better to have a millstone hung around your neck and dropped in the sea" - I think I may have mixed up two verses. The point is, there can be dire consequences even in a Christian light. I guess it's a judgment call.

IMO, Sara is responsible for horrendous acts and was complicent in all of Berg's demented edicts. She not only followed them, she promoted them. If she was truly sorry, she would be doing like Ed Priebe, writing about it, trying to make right the wrongs on so many young people. Although, Davida did tell me one thing, that her mother now realizes how they were raised was wrong. If only Sara would come out and speak openly about it. Maybe she was thinking of that and that's why Ado was sent over there to keep a watch on her. I dunno, but I still don't have much sympathy - sorry. And I do believe that Stephen and Eve still follow Berg's writings - no? I think I'd rather minister to winos and prostitutes.
