New Remote Telemetry Unit help
We care for med surg telemetry patients in our area, and are going to be moving towards centralized monitoring located in one area with the ability to monitor approximately 105 beds. I was wondering if those of you who do centralized monitoring could answer the following questions for me:
How many patients do you have on telemetry tech watch?
Do you have centralized monitoring located in one area, but covering several different cost centers? If so, do you split out the costs of the telemetry techs across all the cost centers, or do you put it all under one cost center?
Assuming this is basic med surg telemetry, what are your staffing ratios on all of your shifts? Do you have CNA's and/or secretaries on night shift?
We plan on givign low dose dopamine and dobutamine.
thanks everyone!
