Watching news coverage of the devastation left behind by Hurricane Katrina, Denise Hetrick had the urge to head to the Gulf Coast. "I told my husband when it first happened that if there's a way to hook up and go down there, I was going," said the registered nurse, who lives in Oak Harbor.
