Rancho Mirage hospital pays $8 million to settle fraud suit


RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. A hospital near Palm Springs has paid 8 (m) million dollars to settle allegations that it defrauded Medicare during the 1990s. Federal officials say Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage paid the money Monday without admitting any wrongdoing.
