retired nurse
hi, just registered on the site. Can anyone give me some advice? My mum retired from nursing a few years ago. She had nursed since 1957 without stopping, but started her training before that as a cadet. I feel that she should be honored for her comittment to the NHS and to caring for people. Can anyone tell me if they agree and how i go about this? thankyou.. [/b]
your mum x
hello! firstly, well done for your mother to have been a caring, empathetic nurse for so long!! As a student, i am at the beginning of that career and i simply can not wait. I have a few friends who i feel deserve some recongition too, so i know how you feel on that front.
i think you can nominate your mum with the RCN website or contact the nursing standard as they often run such competitions?
good luck!! hayley
ps are you a nurse too? x
