sore back
I have been working 12 hrs for precepting for school. In may I will start working even more hours, and I struggle with a sore back. I try to keep my core strengthened. Any other good suggestions, or things I'm not considering as an unexperienced student?

Having been a nurse for 25 years and having had the bad back for all of that time I can tell you that the MOST important favor you can do for your back is to REST!!!!! Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation
Even 10 minutes off your feet and lying down will make a large difference in how well your back does. I was raising 6 kids, keeping house and working 12 hour nights. For a while I was pregnant and going to school full time on top of that. You have to get your time off of your feet-horizontal.
Keep up the pilates and cardiac and strength training. Ask any exercise physiologist and they will tell you REST is essential for good back care.
