Nursing Home Evacuated Briefly (The Ledger)


About 25 residents of the Oakbridge Healthcare Center in Lakeland were evacuated Sunday after smoke spread to two floors of the nursing home. The Lakeland Fire Department found that a very small water heater had shorted out. The call came in at 2:27 p.m. All residents were moved back in by about 3 p.m. There were no injuries.
