Maryland Sen. Paul Sarbanes was discharged from a hospital Tuesday, a day after fainting during the funeral for former Rep. Peter W. Rodino Jr. Sarbanes, 72, left University Hospital before 8 a.m. and was returning to Washington, his spokesman, Jesse Jacobs, said.
