Power outage at Santa Barbara's Cottage Hospital (KESQ)


SANTA BARBARA, Calif. Santa Barbara's only hospital was without power for about 80 minutes today, and personnel had to hand-pump respirators. The chief of staff at Cottage Hospital, Doctor Robert Wright, says backup generators failed today as power went out during a maintenance operation.
