The Baton Rouge Health Care Center, a nursing home on Thomas Road, is being courted by a Metairie nonprofit organization with political ties. Comm Care Corp., which owns several nursing home facilities in the state, is seeking an issuance of $7.5 million of tax-exempt bonds for the purchase.
