A question for Air Force Nurses
I am an experienced RN, currently working in the ER. I am seriously considering joining the Air Force active duty as a Nurse. I want to travel and I want to go back to school for my CRNA. I was active duty Army, enlisted, before I had children. I now have two children, and a great husband who would be a stay at home daddy if we go....
Question....
Any Active Duty (or recently active duty) Air Force Nurses out there that can tell me what the life style is like? I would be a captain in the ER or ICU. How does shift scheduling work, how many hours a week, ect. Are there duties required outside of the hospital assignment (besides PT tests).... How frequent are deployments.... I have a recruiter, but am looking for input from those who are in it!!
