Please help me
As you all know in the UK the small PCTs have joined up to make larger PCTs that cover similar geographical areas to the local councils.
I am a fully qualified permanent District Nursing Sister and have been in my present post for 12 months. Because of staff shortages elsewhere in the PCT the powers that be have told me that I have to give up my caseload and move to two new areas to cover for these staff shortages but not to work at my current band level 6 but as a band 5 staff nurse. Of course I have been told that I can keep my current salary but I cannot work as a band 6 District Nursing Sister. I have a clean work record with no professional misconduct or any capability issues but have been told I have no option and that I have to go.
Has this situation happened to anyone out there or anyone you know? What did you or they do? Please help me..
