WALLA WALLA -- The first meeting of a panel advising the U.S. Veterans Affairs Department on its plans for the Walla Walla VA Medical Center got off to a rocky start Wednesday, as local officials questioned what they called unrealistically low projections for the hospital's services in the next 20 years.
