American Cancer Society - Summary: Age doesn't have to be a barrier to getting
aggressive treatment for small cell lung
cancer, Mayo Clinic researchers report. A study of people treated with
both chemotherapy and radiation found no survival differences for elderly
patients (those 70 or older) compared to younger patients, though older
patients did suffer more side effects.
