Health crisis can play havoc with emotions (Detroit News)


After Maureen Lewis' first surgery for ovarian cancer, the surgeon entered her room and said additional cancer cells had been found. Lewis would need chemotherapy. She expressed anger and distress, and the surgeon patted her on the shoulder and pulled the curtain, saying he would "get a nurse."
