Some help required from some nice nurses in the UK
Hello all you lovely nurses,

I am from Kent, UK & I'm after a bit of help/advice,

Currently researching my family tree.

My grandmother worked as a nurse in a couple of hospitals in Kent, (both of which are no longer there), & possibly one in Manchester.

I think the years in question are from 1927 to 1950, though not necessarily all of them.

I am trying to find out a bit more about her & what she did.


So......do you have to be on some sort of 'register' in your job?

If so, does anyone know when the register was started?

Is there any way of looking at some records to find out when she was a nurse?


Any help, no matter how small would be very much appreciated.
