Hundreds receiving nursing licenses this week, other change


SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - Hundreds of new nursing licenses will be issued because of improvements in the way background checks are handled, but more changes are needed to increase the number of nurses eligible to fill thousands of empty jobs in Illinois, state officials said Wednesday.
